Spring Awakening: Waking Up the Body & Spirit with Yin Yoga

This Workshop will be Live Streamed Online!

Just as new life begins to bloom in the nature surrounding us, so do our bodies and minds as we feel the call of spring. I’m sure we’ve all felt the strangeness of nature changing and moving on around us, while we watch from inside our homes. 

This special 2 hour workshop invites you to explore the natural sense of expansion and renewal from within. We'll approach this exploration through the practice of Yin Yoga, taking the body through stretches and holds that begin gently and allow your body to move deeper at your own pace. As we lean into this deep physical awareness, you'll be invited to set intention; taking all of the quiet learning and internal work of the winter months and time in isolation, into the sensation of space and inquiry ahead of you. Let your body and mind find release, and explore into the essence and lightness of spring.

At Home Props Needed: 2 pillows, 2 thick bath towels, 1 cushy blanket
Students will be sent a link to a special Spotify playlist for the workshop.

This immersive will include an all levels physical practice designed to help you process mental energy and emotion, and will explore breathing techniques that can assist in calming and clearing the mind. There will be an open discussion around self care routines and how to start building practices into your daily living. You'll walk away feeling refreshed and with a knowledge of techniques that work for you that you can use anytime.

Accessibility in Practice: Teaching to a Multi Level Class

Yoga is for everybody. We can all get behind the idea that yoga shouldn’t exclude anyone based on their body size, race, gender, age, or ability; but what does that look like in the room, when teaching a 90 minute flow class? In this workshop, we’ll explore how to get comfortable teaching to a room full of people of all levels and experiences, and how to practically prepare for it.

  • Learn how to plan classes with openness and accessibility in mind

  • Explore creative ways to modify asana

  • Learn to lead classes from a place of inclusion

  • How to go with the flow once the class has started 

All participants in this workshop should have a 200 hour level certification.
